surgery by Dr. Mirrer to repair an extensive injury. He returned from surgery to a successful career at PC and has gone on to play in the
NHL.

Mi-Khida Hankins - PC Basketball
Mi-Khida underwent shoulder reconstruction sophomore year for a dislocating shoulder. After surgery, her scoring and rebounding accelerated and she scored a career 1,190 points and had 602 rebounds (19th all-time at PC) |

Geoff McDerMott - PC Basketball
Geoff underwent knee surgery for an injury freshman year. He went on to an impressive career at PC with 1,122 points and was top 10 all-time at PC in rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots. |

Dr. Mirrer performed shoulder surgery on all four players for injuries that occurred on the football field.
They all returned to play for Exeter-West Greenwich and together led the Knights to back to back
super bowl titles. A.J. returned to later play quarterback after surgery on his throwing shoulder.
Adam returned to the running back position and was awarded a scholarship to Springfield College at that
position. Al returned after shoulder surgery to set the RI State records for a running back with 2,900 rushing yards and 49 touchdowns. On defense, he had 8 interceptions. He was awarded All-State MVP and All-State running back.
Zack was awarded All-State First String Quarterback the season he returned from shoulder surgery and lead the team to their first
super bowl championship that year. |

Dr. Mirrer with Darrel Geisser
Darrel underwent ACL reconstruction and mensicus repair surgery after a season-ending knee injury playing
football at Moses Brown H.S.
After surgery, he returned to play football and was awarded a full football scholarship to URI. He has also achieved two personal best times in sprinting competitions since surgery. |

Borelli, named to the PROJO All-State football team, underwent all-inside ACL surgery for a knee injury to his kicking leg. He returned to kicking and was invited to the Kohl's, and National Invitational, kicking camps. He kicks, punts and plays wide receiver and defensive end for Cranston East. |

Jeff Mason - Providence College Hockey:
Jeff underwent surgical reconstruction for an injury to his shoulder and has since gone on to play professional hockey.

Sonny Watrous, Providence College Hockey:
After surgical reconstruction for a shoulder injury, Sonny recovered to become a Hockey East Second Team All-Star and was invited to the U.S. Olympic team trials.

Gayle Nwafili, Providence College Basketball:
Gayle had knee surgery to reconstruct a torn ACL and repair a torn meniscus and returned from her injury to average a team high 12.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. She also led the Friars in blocked shots with 40 - the second most ever recorded in program history.

Bill Balson, Senior Olympian:
Bill underwent an extensive operation to reconstruct multiple tears within his shoulder. Nine months later, he won a gold medal in the javelin throw using his operative shoulder. |

Dr. Mirrer with Justin Davis, high school football standout: Justin had knee reconstructive surgery for a footbal injury. He returned the next season to win First Team All-Division at Tight End and First team All-State at Defensive End.

Peter Zingoni, Providence College Hockey: Peter had surgery for an injury to his shoulder while at PC and has gone on to play hockey professionally. |

Allison Baker, Providence College Volleyball:
Allison underwent surgery to reconstruct a shoulder injury that had prevented her from playing. She returned from surgery to lead the Friar team with 380 kills and 150 digs in her senior season.

Jana Bugden, Providence College Hockey:
Jana required both knee surgery and shoulder surgery for injuries that she had sustained. She came back from surgery to win the team's Captain's Award and MVP honors. She was also awarded Top Goalie and Hockey East Tournament MVP.
