Bio: Dr. Michael J. Infantolino
Dr. Infantolino grew up in the Kent County area and played many sports locally. This sparked his interest in sports medicine. After graduating Medical School at the University of Rome, in Italy, he completed his residency at Rhode Island Hospital. He is a graduate of the Brown University Orthopaedic Surgery Training Program.
Dr. Infantolino has been serving the Kent County area in private practice for over 25 years. Throughout this time, he has been very active in sports medicine in the community. He has been the team orthopaedist for several local high schools. He has also served as president of the Rhode Island Orthopaedic Society and is a past Chief of Orthopaedics at Kent County Memorial Hospital.
In the year 2000, Dr. Infantolino was selected as one of the "TOP DOCTORS IN RHODE ISLAND" by the Rhode Island Monthly Magazine. Dr. Infantolino has built a strong reputation in the community as an excellent and skilled surgeon. His areas of expertise include knee arthroscopic surgery, shoulder surgery and hand surgery.
Dr. Infantolino is an avid water man. He enjoys kite-surfing and stand up paddle surfing year round in Rhode Island waters. He also enjoys snowboarding.
Dr. Infantolino is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
